Finding your size

It takes a minute, and you only measure once. Most women choose M. Most men choose L.

1. Measure your palm. Wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of your palm, excluding the thumb. Keep it snug but not tight. No tape measure? A strip of paper or a piece of string works just as well — wrap it round, mark where it meets, then hold it against a ruler. Measure your dominant hand, or whichever is wider. Each order includes a left and a right, so one size covers the pair.
2. Match. Find your measurement in the Palm Circumference row above. Glove Length is the overall length of the glove from fingertip to cuff, shown for reference.

On the border between two sizes? These are liners, so a close fit is the point — a loose one moves against your fingers and costs you the feel you bought it for. Go up a size only if you plan to wear them under your own outer glove.

Cold hands stop the task. That is the whole problem.

People take the glove off to tap the phone, clip the lead, feel the yarn, work the dial, hold the small fitting — and the cold wins anyway. Thicker gloves don't fix it; they just move the problem. We built these around the three things that actually go wrong.

• Heat that never reaches the fingertips. Most heated gloves warm the back of the hand and stop there, which is not the part that goes numb. The heating elements cover the back of the hand and all five fingertips — a full-finger design, not a cut-tip liner.
• Warmth that doesn't cost you the task. Bulk is how ordinary winter gloves keep you warm, and bulk is what makes you take them off. These are lightweight liners with a non-slip grip palm and touchscreen fingertips, so you turn the heat up instead of adding thickness — worn alone, or as the heated base layer under the outer glove you already own.
• Heat that lasts as long as you're out. Three settings, so you can run Low and leave it running rather than sitting on High: up to 8.5 hours on Low, up to 3 hours on High. Thermal insulated construction means they still work with the battery flat.

Built to stay on. Waterproof and windproof outer, breathable and quick drying, UV protection, adjustable wrist strap — so there's no reason to pull them off halfway through.

What are they made of?

Polyester throughout, built as a thin liner rather than a bulky winter glove.

• Shell — waterproof and windproof, with UV protection
• Thermal insulation — holds heat in, and keeps working with the battery off
• Heating elements — across the back of the hand and all five fingertips
• Non-slip palm — grip on phones, tools and handlebars, and it stops the liner pulling off when you remove an outer glove
• Adjustable wrist strap — seals the draught out and stops the cuff riding up

Full-finger design with touchscreen-compatible fingertips, so you can use your phone without taking a glove off. As with any glove, expect it to be less precise than a bare fingertip.

Wind and water

Waterproof and windproof, and quick drying when they do get soaked. The fabric is breathable, so the moisture from a warm hand has somewhere to go instead of turning cold on you halfway through.

How do I care for them?

• Take the batteries out first. Never wash or soak a glove with a battery in it.
• Hand wash only. Cool water, mild detergent, no machine, no wringing.
• Dry them slowly. Lay them flat, away from direct sun, radiators and heat guns. Direct heat damages the wiring.
• Wash sparingly. Heating elements are wired through the glove, so airing them out between wears is kinder than frequent laundering.
• Don't dry clean, bleach or iron.

Between seasons. Store the gloves flat and dry with the batteries removed — not folded hard across the fingers, which creases the heating path. See the Battery Information tab for how to store the batteries themselves.

One battery, three settings.

Each glove runs on a 2,200 mAh, 7.4V rechargeable battery. One button cycles High, Medium and Low, and the 7.4V output brings the gloves up to temperature in seconds — faster than liners running on 5V or 3.7V. *Heating duration is measured from a full charge at room temperature, and depends on your setting and the conditions. Hard cold and steady High both shorten it.

• One per glove. Every pair ships with two batteries, so both hands run independently.
• Weight. 103 g per battery.
• Charge both together. Starting each session from full is what keeps the two hands running for the same length of time.
• Cuff pocket. Waterproof zip, keeping the battery flat against the cuff and out of your sleeve's way.

Use only the supplied 5V3A charger and batteries. Never charge damp gloves or batteries, and stop using a battery that swells, overheats or will not hold charge.

Battery care

To keep the batteries performing and extend their life, use them at least once every two months. Before storing them for a long stretch, charge them fully, then run them down to roughly 50–75%. Store them out of the gloves, somewhere dry and at room temperature, and dispose of a dead battery at a recycling point rather than in household waste.

Out all day? A second set of batteries means you swap instead of stopping. Add a spare set.
